Hi love, I’m Ále.
Salachon relatives. I’m Ále (AH-leh, she/her), the Earthen Mami.
I am a traditional afroindígena community BirthKeeper, artist, fur mama, auntie, ancestral healer & activist located on Medicine Creek Treaty Territory (Seattle, WA). I come from the Maya Ch’ortí, Lenca, and Garífuna/Garínagu Indigenous & Afroindigenous peoples of Honduras through my father’s side. I also carry Northwestern European heritage, namely German, Celtic & Norwegian.
I started Casa de Espie in the summer of 2023 as a means to explore my creativity, sensuality, and spirituality.
As a queer bisexual woman of color, my brand is deeply sapphic and celebrates the Divine Feminine in all her glory. My identity as a womban and deep respect for the wisdom of our bodies is reflected in my work. I am also focused on ethically sourced eco-conscious materials. From my hemp coconut blend wax to refillable glass vessels, our relationship with Mother Earth is always centered.
Candle making and creating rituals for people to engage with themselves, their ancestors, and our planet brings me great joy. Maintaining the intentional meditative nature of candle making is paramount, and I sincerely hope you enjoy your own quiet moment of respite with one of my candles and other ecoäromatic pieces.
I want to thank my parents for their unwavering support of me and my art, my ancestors for their constant wisdom and power, and to the Coast Salish peoples and their land upon which I am a guest.
I am loudly & unapologetically pro-choice, pro-Black, Brown, and Indigenous, anti-imperialist, community focused, and an out and proud Queer Womban. I am passionate about reproductive health and equity for all people around the globe. I believe we have a duty to ourselves and our fellow people to radically love and fight for one another. I actively engage in thinking critically and am eager to learn, unlearn, and grow.

Mother Earth
is our altar.
I honor my divinity through
my worship of la tierra.
